Habit stacking


One of the best ways to introduce a new habit to your day is to habit stack.


Habit stacking is when you take a habit you are already doing and then align a new habit to it. For example, you develop an ear infection from swimming in public pools over the summer and your family doctor wants you to use ear drops twice a day for 10 days. If you place your ear drops next to your toothbrush and tie the new action of taking your drops with the already established habit of brushing your teeth in the morning and before going to bed then you are more apt to take those drops.


Let your pets help


If you have a daily regime of medication / supplements that you take, your pets are able to help remind you when its time to take them. Feed your pet at the same time of day every day, maybe as part of your morning routine. Habit stack your medication with feeding your furry friends.


Rest assured, your cat or dog will let you know when its time to feed them and therefore when it's time to take your medication.
